About Our School

St Brendan's is a Catholic primary school situated on the Mornington Peninsula in the suburb of Somerville. This warm, inclusive school provides a stimulating learning environment for its students. As a Catholic school, we believe that Jesus Christ is our model and we strive to live the Christian values of faith, hope, love, justice and equality. We provide a curriculum that supports, challenges and engages our students.

Our staff continually strives to deliver a high standard of learning and teaching, following the Victorian curriculum.

We currently have an enrolment of 236 students, with one Foundation class, three Year One/Two classes, three Year Three/Four classes and three Year Five/Six classes.

The wellbeing of each person in our school is of paramount importance to us and we work diligently to provide a safe and secure school where all can belong.

At St Brendan’s, we value working with parents and encourage involvement with the wider community. Parents are welcome to participate in all aspects of the school with the main support coming from the School Education Board, the Social and Fundraising Group, working bees and individual contributions in the classrooms, on excursions or for special school events.
