Our Curriculum

At St Brendan's we encourage children to work collaboratively on tasks in an atmosphere of cooperation. We provide children with opportunities to become independent and self-motivated learners, who are able to think creatively about the world in which they live.

St Brendan’s is a Catholic School that encourages every young

person to be successful, engaged and purposeful learners.

We are committed to a shared ownership of teaching and learning that builds on student’s knowledge and understandings of themselves and the world around them.

Curriculum at St Brendan’s is personalised , giving all students

access to a quality curriculum. Our staff continually strives to deliver a high standard of learning and teaching, following the

Victorian Curriculum Standards.

It is our aim that each student is known, encouraged, challenged and supported in all that they do.

We value high quality teaching that is responsive to the different ways children learn and enables them to achieve their best.

We draw on clear evidence, supported by data, to identify where students are at in their learning, where they need to go and how best to get there.

At St Brendan's our students engage in Specialist lessons in

Music, Sport, Art and LOTE (Japanese).
