Religious Education

The Catholic school is commissioned by the Church to attend to the full flourishing of the person as created in the image and likeness of God. By its work of educating in openness to the mystery of God and in response to Jesus’ commandment of love, the school becomes a presence of the Church in the local and wider society. - Horizon’s Of Hope - Religious Dimension

Religious Education underpins the Learning and Teaching at St Brendan’s.

Through a faith-based inquiry approach to learning, students are encouraged to explore the world from a Catholic viewpoint that is sensitive to the belief of others.

The staff at St Brendan’s Catholic PS continually assist students to make new meanings from symbols and scripture that make sense today. Staff and students alike participate in faith formation opportunities.

The whole school celebrates Masses and liturgies that are planned and led by Year Levels. These may be reflective of important events in the Church calendar, such as Holy Week or may be a celebration of new learnings, such as, stewardship of the Earth. Families are always welcome to attend.
